played on android , PC, Console, etc .The gaming industry is booming all over
the world because of its demand . Now a days gaming industry is also doing well
in India lots of players are into gaming there are more opportunities created
by the government for them. The online gaming industry consists of companies of
all sizes, from large established multinationals to very small start-ups. Its
ecosystem spans developers, publishers,
distributors, streaming services, esports organizers and
teams, and others. It is also influenced heavily by developers of operating
systems for gaming devices. The top gaming companies all over the world by
revenue are:

current market structure of Indian gaming sector is Monopolistically
competitive by nature because pubg has dominated all the games In large
scale and it has the larger market share and it is dominating well in India .
in India we can see that huge number of gamers are into pubg more than other
games PUBG, from Tencent, has not only taken the lead in gaining the Indian
gaming mindshare but is leading the way for the creation of amazing games for
India over the next decade. The companies Tencent and Activision Blizzard are the companies

on rise because they have to promote their games to a larger scale and market
them. They invest huge amount of money for selling the games they give
commission to agents and distributors such as Steam, play store ,
Appstore , Epic games etc . The gaming companies approach differently
to promote their games .

The Union Education Ministry is offering
considerable support behind online gaming. This new focus is an attempt by the
Ministry to generate employment opportunities in the digital field.

The Ministry also confirmed that they will be
organising a national level hackathon for ‘online games’ to showcase the
talents of Indian students from higher educational institutions. Indeed, even
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently said that the segment has “huge potential
in this area, and should lead the international digital gaming sector.”

Decision of government on fantasy gaming: On
March 6, 2020, the Supreme Court of India passed an interim order in the case
of State of Maharashtra v. Gurdeep Singh Sachar & Ors[4] and threw into
uncertainty the fantasy sports sector in India.
